برائٹن میں پرورش پائی، میں اپنے گھوڑوں کی وجہ سے دیہی علاقوں سے منسلک ہوا ہوں کیونکہ میں بچپن سے ہی میرے خاندان کی ملکیت ہے۔ ایک تجربہ کار گھوڑے کے مالک کی حیثیت سے بڑھتے ہوئے مجھے باہر اور نئی جگہوں کی تلاش کے بارے میں انتہائی پرجوش بنا دیا ہے۔
بڑے ہونے کے دوران میں بہت باہر اور ایڈونچر تھا جو چھوٹی عمر سے ہی برطانیہ کے دیہی علاقوں سے محبت کرتا تھا۔ میرے بچپن کی وجہ سے اس نے میرے 18 سال کے ہونے کے بعد مزید سفر کرنے کا شوق پیدا کر دیا۔ 18 سال کی عمر سے میں نے 30 سے زیادہ ممالک کا سفر کیا اور تقریباً 2 سال ہندوستان میں رہا۔ میں اپنی ترقی یافتہ مہارت کے ساتھ نئی جگہوں پر سفر کرنے، پکڑنے اور نئے تجربات حاصل کرنے کے موقع سے لطف اندوز ہوتا ہوں۔
میں دنیا بھر کی متنوع ثقافتوں، سفر اور باہر کے بارے میں پرجوش ہوں اور اپنے پورٹ فولیو کو تیار کرنے کے لیے نئی جگہوں اور ملاقاتوں کی تلاش جاری رکھوں گا۔

فوٹوگرافی، فلم بندی، ایڈیٹنگ اور ڈائریکشن ایک ایسا فن ہے جو بٹن کے کلک سے آگے ہوتا ہے۔ میں ایک ایسا کنکشن تلاش کرتا ہوں جس سے میرا کلائنٹ اور سامعین تعلق رکھ سکیں۔ میں ایک ایسا موضوع یا ماحول تلاش کرتا ہوں جو کیمرے سے بات کرے اور کہانی سنائے۔ بصری کہانی سنانے والی تصویر بنانے کی صلاحیت رکھنے سے میرے سامعین کو ایک تجربے کو سمیٹنے میں مدد ملتی ہے۔
Culture and landscape around the world are at threat due to climate change, pollution, the eradication of natural resources, land privatisation, post-colonial political structures and the lack of funding. I aim to celebrate the achievements constructed by tourism boards, businesses, and non-profit and non-government organisations to help share the stories of their successes and overall impact.
With a global fight to preserve culture and tradition for the next generation; indigenous people are adapting to climate change, uplifting their communities with grassroots initiatives and connecting to their local landscape by implementing revolutionary restoration projects which I want to document. Traditional and economic practices amongst communities whose lives have been fragmented because of a change in climate, poverty and inequality are issues which people within the creative industry have the power to talk about by sharing in these intimate stories.
Partnering with clients to document these realities, helps to challenge people's decisions to take action by supporting campaigns, businesses and organisations who empower human rights, and protect the environment and its inhabitants while highlighting the importance of protecting wildlife and preserving culture. I am immersing myself within cultures and communities, including my own, to understand our changing world and to help give landscape, wildlife and heritage at risk of extinction a voice.
Many indigenous communities continue to hold onto their traditions and native landscape. We have to take into consideration an aspect of life the modern world has begun to leave behind; such as living in harmony with the natural world, the joy of community and the benefits it has on our mental health, knowledge of the land and the importance of using natural resources sustainably, local foods produced with ancient regenerative agricultural methods, the abundance of wild native foods and plant medicines on our doorsteps and the benefit of preserving artisan skills and crafts. These are wisdoms our ancestors all had access to which I want to highlight through my work as a journalist and photographer.
Every day people around the world are being forced to adapt to new ways of living. I believe it's important to remember while the West has ‘advanced’ far beyond most communities in the world, we should take into consideration the advancement of knowledge from ancient and Indigenous culture's relationship to the earth, with my belief that the modern world has a lot to learn by supporting and empowering their spiritual and sustainable way of life.
مستقبل میں میں اپنی فوٹو گرافی کو دیہی اور ترقی پذیر عالمی برادریوں، ان کی روایات، ثقافت اور موسمیاتی تبدیلی کے ان پر پڑنے والے اثرات کو دستاویز کرنے کے لیے استعمال کرنا چاہوں گا۔
میں اپنی صلاحیتوں کو مرتی ہوئی ثقافتوں کے احیاء، تحفظ اور بیداری کے لیے استعمال کرنا چاہوں گا اور یہ کہ ہم ماحولیاتی سیاحت کے ذریعے ان کی مدد کیسے کر سکتے ہیں۔
انسان اس سیارے پر سب سے زیادہ لچکدار اور موافقت پذیر مخلوق ہیں اور یہ مجھے ان وسیع اور متحرک ثقافتوں کے ذریعے حیران کرتا رہتا ہے جن کا میں نے سفر کیا ہے۔
میں اپنے آپ کو مختلف ثقافتوں میں غرق کرنے کے لیے تیار ہوں تاکہ تصویری، تحریری اور ویڈیو دستاویزات کے ذریعے ان کے طرز زندگی کو دستاویزی شکل دی جا سکے۔
My Inspiration
سفر کے دوران جن لوگوں سے میں ملتا ہوں انہوں نے میرے کچھ پسندیدہ سفری پورٹریٹ اور رپورٹنگ کے لمحات کو متاثر کیا ہے۔ نیشنل جیوگرافک کے فوٹوگرافر اسٹیو میک کیری نے میرے تیار کردہ کام، نئے لوگوں سے ملنے کا شوق اور سفر کے دوران نئی کہانیاں دریافت کرنے کو متاثر کیا ہے۔ اس نے مجھے اپنے تجربے کو دستاویز کرنے کے لیے مختلف ثقافتوں میں غرق کرنے پر مجبور کیا۔
میں نے وارانسی میں سرفہرست میڈیا اور فوٹو جرنلسٹس کے ساتھ کام کیا ہے ایک فوٹوگرافر کے طور پر گنگا سیوا ندھیس کی مشہور دیو دیپاولی تقریب کے لیے دشاسوامیدھ گھاٹ پر تصویر کشی کی ہے۔ ایک تقریب جو دیوالی کے بعد ہوتی ہے جہاں گھاٹوں کو لالٹینوں سے روشن کیا جاتا ہے۔
ثقافت سے میری محبت اور دلچسپی کی وجہ سے کئی بار میری تصویر وارانسی کے مقامی ہندوستانی اخبار اور یہاں تک کہ ہندوستان کے اوقات میں شائع ہوئی تھی۔
